Here an overview of the evolution covers Michelin maps of France since the Origins until 2001, (or this ladder of 200 000th was left). The maps covering the foreign countries follow overall the same diagram of evolution.
Difficult to date the covers of this first series with certainty, because
till the beginning of the twenties, no element allows to determine the date
of manufacture, that it is of the sheet or coverages.The list is not exhaustive,
because there are some small variants in drawings and in lines.
Due to the fact that, by economy, the fabricated supplies of covers are used
always to last, it is possible to find sheets and covers of different years,
they will find this possible gap until 1958, date which the cover was directly
printed on the seet.
